Originally, FIRST Corp. was established in 2001 for serving as the legal basis and fully operational local workbench for the foreign principal to conduct business in the Philippines, especially with focus on business with the government. Like in many other countries, projects with the government and foreign companies can only be conducted through a local company.

Filipino International Resources, Science & Technologies (FIRST Corp.) Corporation did foresee this development. When in the year 2003 a government project, tendered by the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA), shaped up more and more, all governmental requirements were already in place. After many years of preparatory work, FIRST Corporation was successful with its support for the German principal, who finally won the bid.

Unfortunately, during the implementation period, severe problems related to the management of the project by the German general contractor and a related German subcontractor were endangering the project. Thus, FIRST Corp. decided to focus only on bolstering its professional independence and began to work on self-acquired projects.

Whether good or bad, FIRST Corporation got to know the negative impact of a small entity being tied up with one principal thus limiting, at times even endangering, its own survivability. With that experience always in mind, FIRST Corporation offers now diversified services reaching from project design to implementation, operation, maintenance & repair, with main focus on IT.
